Retiring Cryo Tanks at 10 Years
The industry standard is to use cryo tanks for up to 30 years, but we believe in taking a more proactive approach. At every Prelude Network lab, we retire our tanks after just 10 years. By doing so, we significantly reduce the risk of equipment failure and ensure that our storage systems are always in optimal condition.
Dual Monitoring System
Many fertility clinics opt for either an internal temperature probe or external thermal monitoring for their cryo tanks. At Inception Fertility, we utilize both. This dual monitoring system provides an added layer of security by cross-verifying temperature stability and detecting any potential issues early. Our comprehensive approach minimizes the risk of unnoticed fluctuations that could jeopardize the safety of stored tissues.
Continuous 24-Hour Monitoring
Our laboratories utilize a 24-hour continuous monitoring system that keeps a vigilant watch over all critical and non-critical equipment. This system ensures that we are aware of any issues the moment they arise, allowing us to take corrective action immediately.
Central Monitoring Command Center (CMCC)
In addition to local lab monitoring, we have a Central Monitoring Command Center (CMCC) that oversees all our network labs. The CMCC provides an additional layer of surveillance and ensures the overall integrity of our monitoring systems across all locations.
Direct CEO Notification
In the unlikely event that temperature fluctuations occur outside the acceptable range, most systems alert only the lab personnel. At the Prelude Network, our alert system is designed to notify our CEO directly in addition to the lab staff, with all corrective actions documented and reviewed to prevent future occurrences. This ensures that any potential issues are addressed immediately at the highest level of oversight, providing an additional layer of accountability and swift response.
