IVF Costs
The cost of IVF treatment at PFC depends on whether you decide to use Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy (PGT-A) to select the healthiest embryo to transfer.
Please contact our clinic for more information about IVF costs. Final fees depend upon the treatment plan established by your physician.
FAQs
How can I make IVF more affordable?
One of the first steps that patients can take before embarking on a fertility journey is determining whether or not their insurance will cover part or all of the costs associated with fertility care. Currently, California law stipulates that group insurance providers must offer coverage for infertility treatments except for IVF. However, your individual plan may offer coverage for IVF. Talk to your employer and insurance provider to fully understand what fertility services, if any, are covered under your insurance plan.
Another option for making IVF more affordable is fertility financing. There are several fertility loans that can help you find a flexible, affordable option that suits your unique needs. For patients who are likely to need two or three cycles of IVF, there are multi-cycle packages like Bundl that group together multiple cycles of IVF into one package at a discounted price.
What is included in an IVF package?
A standard IVF package includes egg retrieval, fertilization, monitoring, and fresh embryo transfer. Other items that are not included in an IVF package that can impact the total cost include IVF medications, embryo freezing, FET, using donor eggs/sperm, using a gestational carrier, and add-on options such as ICSI and PGT.
What factors influence the overall cost of fertility treatments?
The overall cost of fertility treatments, such as IVF, IUI, and egg freezing, depends on various factors including the type of treatment needed, the number of cycles, diagnostic tests, medications, additional services (e.g., genetic testing), and the need for third-party reproduction (e.g., egg donation, surrogacy, etc.). At Pacific Fertility Center, we will thoroughly discuss all fertility care costs to help you understand the specific details of your treatment costs, as well as explore financial assistance options and/or insurance coverage.
Does insurance cover fertility treatments in California?
In California, fertility care insurance coverage is available, but is not mandatory. Employers can choose whether or not to include infertility coverage in their employee health benefits packages. Employers who self-insure as well as religious organizations are exempt from this law's requirements. Group insurers must offer coverage for infertility treatment, specifically diagnosis, diagnostic testing, medications, surgery, and Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer (GIFT). However, coverage for IVF is not required. Learn more about fertility insurance coverage.
Are there any financing options available for fertility treatments, and how do they work?
The Pacific Fertility Center collaborates with CapexMD, Lending Club, and Sunfish to provide a diverse range of fertility financing solutions. These options ensure you can secure the essential financial support needed to make your treatment affordable. Every program is carefully tailored to suit your unique circumstances.
