Pacific Fertility Center Doctors Offer Expertise at Fertility Planit Show
On January 12, 2013, two doctors from the Pacific Fertility Center (PFC) participated in the Fertility Planit Show, the first consumer expo of its kind. Held in Los Angeles, the two-day event featured a large exhibit hall and about 20 hour-long programs and panels with some of California's top fertility experts and family-building professionals.
A Fertility Planit advisory board member, Liyun Li, MD, was featured in a panel called "Beginner's Guide to Infertility: What To Do When You Want To Get Pregnant but Can't." She provided a broad overview of fertility treatment
Philip E. Chenette, MD, spoke on a panel entitled "Fertility Preservation and Egg Freezing: How Does It Work and Should I Do It?" With the help of a chart illustrating the fertility curve, Dr. Chenette talked about precipitous declines in egg number and quality in mid life. He also explained about how egg freezing could help women plan ahead and protect their fertility.
