Bill to Mandate Fertility Preservation for Those Facing Cancer Treatments

Posted on June 25, 2013 by Inception Fertility

Alice Crisci, founder of Fertile Action, and Dr. Mitch Rosen from UCSF will testify in front of the California Senate Health Committee for a bill that would mandate fertility preservation coverage for those facing cancer treatments that could cause infertility.

There are over 30 side effects of cancer treatment covered by insurance - even temporary things like wigs for hair loss are often covered. But, fertility preservation, is not covered when we know that infertility is not temporary.

This bill will help those with cancer, autoimmune diseases and more who may be infertile after their life-saving treatments.
